Olanzapine Mouth Dissolving -10mg- Olanzapine is used for the treatment of certain mental/mood conditions (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder). It may also be used in combination with other medications to treat depression. This medication helps in decreasing hallucinations and think more precisely and positively about yourself, feel less agitated, and take a more active part in everyday life. Olanzapine lies under the category of medicine called atypical antipsychotics. It maintains balance in certain natural substances in the brain.

Side Effects Of The Mouth Dissolving Product

There are various side-effects that the patient will have to go through if he takes this medicine without any prescription or will have to deal with if the doctor has prescribed the wrong medicine.  Those effects are:

  • Dizziness/low blood pressure upon standing

Precautions for taking  Olanzapine Mouth Dissolving

Not approved for dementia-related psychosis:  Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis who are treated with antipsychotic drugs are at increased risk of death, as shown in short-term controlled trials; in these trials, deaths appeared to be either cardiovascular (e.g., heart failure, sudden death) or infectious (e.g., pneumonia) in nature.

  • Less sweat: This medication may make you sweat less, making you more likely to get heat stroke. Avoid doing things that may cause you to overheat, such as hard work or exercise in hot weather, or using hot tubs. When the weather is hot, drink a lot of fluids and dress lightly. If you overheat, quickly look for a place to cool down and rest. Get medical help right away if you have a fever that does not go away, mental/mood changes, headache, or dizziness.
  • Sedative measures: Patients are at risk for severe sedation (including coma) or delirium after each injection and must be observed for at least 3 hours in a registered facility with ready access to emergency response services.
  • Affecting the youth: Teenagers may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially weight gain, and also increased amounts of cholesterol, triglycerides, and prolactin. Therefore, they must be careful about this medicine and its dosage.
  • Older adults may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially drowsiness, constipation, trouble urinating, confusion, dizziness, and lightheadedness which can increase the risk of falling.
  • Allergic to Olanzapine: If you are allergic to this drug, then you should also not take Zyprexa, ZyprexaRelprevv, or ZyprexaZydis.

Should not be prescribed to diabetic patients: As it increases the risk of hyperglycemia and diabetes; in some cases, hyperglycemia concomitant with the use of atypical antipsychotics has been associated with ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar coma, or death.

OVERDOSE: If a person has over-dosed on this medicine and can feel serious symptoms like trouble in breathing, or passing out take them to the doctor immediately. But if it is the time for the next dose, you can leave and take the present d vaccine.
